News Byte: Cash Plus Boss' Day in Court, Sees Minor Setback!
Cash Plus boss, Carlos Hill, his brother, Bertram Hill and Cash Plus Chief Financial Officer, Peter Wilson, will have their day in court on July 17, 2008.
They appeared in the Half-Way-Tree Resident Magistrate Court, today, but their lawyers complained that the documents with specific charges made by the Jamaican Police, were not presented by the Director of Public Prosecutions.
As such, their clients' bail has been extended until the above-mentioned date, when these documents, it is hoped, should have been presented and analyzed.
In a related story:
On Monday afternoon, the Jamaican Supreme Court was presented with the report from Kevin Bandoian, the PriceWaterhouseCoopers Receiver-Manager appointed to ascertain the assets of Cash Plus.
However, there is no word as yet, as to whether or not Cash Plus clients will be able to get back all, or a portion of the monies owed them.
Will let you know as soon as we have this information!
