Hey Michael,

Thanks much for your comment!

From what you've described, it seems like you were starting to get the flu.

Not H1N1, but another flu virus. (If it were H1N1, then you'd still have the flu, even after taking such huge doses of Vitamin C :))

So vitamin C has proven its worth, in fighting colds and non-H1N1 flu viruses once, again!

Hmmmh...5,000 mg of vitamin C...were these in tablet form, Michael?

I'm happy to hear that you're recovered and much better!
==========

Friends, please remember that if you are having flu-like symptoms and you have travelled or have come in contact with people who do, or who may have the H1N1 virus, please go to your doctor immediately to get checked out!

You can't be too careful!

If it's the normal flus, Vitamin C will help to cure them...as Michael has proven, but if it's H1N1, you need to get a special antiviral injection from your doctor.

The medicines injected are usually oseltamivir or zanamivir - two medicines known to kill and prevent the H1N1 virus.

Gillian

I have been using high doses of vitamin c to protect myself against infection/viruses with some success. Last week I had a very high temperature and sore throat which came on very quickly. During the day I took 5,000mg of vitamin c and the next day the symptoms had gone. Now this may have happened anyway. However it is not the first time I have experinced this.
