1) TypePad - for Professional-Looking Personal and Business Blogs

Reason I've been with them for over four (4) years:

• Their blogging platform is easy to learn. Once you have (in about 2-3 days), you can set up professional-looking blogs in minutes!
• Their help files are actually very helpful
• Excellent customer service! - they are responsive, their technical people are good.
• They are on the cutting edge of blogging (platform) technology, so you're assured of being able to access the latest blogging tools to enable you to maintain a loyal customer base.
• You have Intellectual Property protection.
• Widgets are very useful and just great!
• Only basic HTML/Javascript knowledge needed.
• Drawback: Doesn't allow for PHP coding

2) Blogger.com(Free Blogging Platform)

Reason I'm recommending them:

• For a free blogging service (now owned by Google), they have excellent blogging tools for the personal blogger
• Drawback:The professional look is elusive without knowledge of CSS and other web authoring tools.
