The other candidates got the following votes:
5) Joseph 'Bunny' Whitter - 2037 votes
6) Wykeham McNeill - 2016 votes
7) Sharon Hay-Webster - 1937 votes
8) Harry Douglas - 1722 votes
Girl With a Purpose Blog congratulates Mrs. Simpson-Miller, Mrs. Angela Brown-Burke, Mr. Derrick Kellier, Mr. Noel Arscott and Mr. Fenton Ferguson.
It is our wish as Jamaicans, that all five (5) will initiate moves within the PNP, for unity, so that we can have a viable Opposition in Parliament.
We note that in Mrs. Simpson-Miller's acceptance speech, that the olive branch of peace was not extended to Dr. Phillips and his "Arise and Renew" camp.
But she did say that she will be encouraging unity in the Party.
We definitely hope that this will be so...for the PNP has less than a year to prepare for General Elections which may be called to resolve the Dual Citizenship issues, mentioned in our previous post, found here.
