Most people wish to find that ideal partner - someone who'll accept them for themselves and who'll love them despite.
Some are still using face-to-face dating methods to enable this process...however, an increasing number of persons are turning to online dating sites to make this process easier and more efficient.
Internet dating sites, like Lavalife.com, allow you to find more eligible singles, who may be located in your city, region or country or in disparate countries, but who share your soul:
...that is your values, lifestyle and attitudes and with whom you can form a permanent, lifetime bond.
Two (2) of my friends have found love online:
Both were a bit skeptical, as they were very wary of meeting people who misrepresented themselves.
However, both found the online dating process rewarding, as the days turned to months and they got to know the people whom they took a liking to better and attraction gradually grew into love.
Both said that that online dating allowed them to choose from a wider range of people than would have been available face-to-face.
And both stressed the importance of meeting with the other party, in person and giving that feedback to the dating sites themselves...thus helping these sites to fine-tune algorithms that matched people together.
What I found, interesting, is that both said the process was not that much different from in-person (offline) dating, as even though persons were thousands of miles apart, they could easily use technology [e.g. a webcam, free Voice over IP (VOIP) services] to keep in close contact with partners.
My friends stressed the importance of actual face to face meetings with partners, however...whether these meetings were for one weekend a month, or for a few days/weeks per quarter, until both parties could be together at the same location, more permanently.
I think what they valued most, was that the online dating sites used, via the personality and relationship intention questions asked, at the very beginning of the process, helped them to quickly identify their personalities, what they wanted from a relationship and what they wanted from an ideal partner.
These sites then made the process of being matched with people with the same relationship intention...more probable, thus making the dating process more efficient and effective.

Well, I have to say that after hearing/seeing the fruits of my friends' first-hand experience with dating online, I am less skeptical re online dating.
...so much so that it's is something I'd seriously consider when the situation warrants it :).
So, is it possible to find love online?...I'd say a resounding yes!
If you're over eighteen (18) and you've been trying, without success, to find your ideal partner offline...why not try online dating?
You may just be pleasantly surprised at not only the results, but what you learn about yourself in the process!
(Please ensure, however, that you do follow the precautions on these sites, and those we've previously mentioned, to guard your safety online and offline).
