Jamaican Prime Minister, Bruce Golding, confirmed yesterday, that he will resign as JLP Party Leader and PM.
JLP Chairman and Transport & Works Minister,Mike Henry, stated yesterday, that Party delegates have up until October 21 to submit the names of candidates for Party Leader and hence Prime Minister.
So far, the frontrunners are Andrew Holness and Audley Shaw, but it's anyone's guess who else will throw their hat into the ring.
So, what should Jamaicans expect from now up until October 21?
You'll see and hear of a political maneuvering, with many speeches and media appearances by all candidates.
Audley Shaw has his backers within the Party, which seem to include major financiers of the Party.
Andrew Holness also has his backers, but most importantly, he's the public's choice.
Unfortunately for the JLP, it's not just the delegates who'll be voting in the upcoming General Elections, but the Jamaican public.
So in light of this, it will be interesting to see whom the delegates select.
