The Electoral Office of Jamaica is still recounting the ballots cast in yesterday's General Elections.
This is to verify the preliminary count of the People's National Party ( PNP)'s: win:
PNP: 41 seats, Jamaica Labour Party (JLP): 22 seats.
There are some constituencies that are in question, with very close wins e.g.:
1) South West St. Elizabeth - which Mr. Christopher Tufton (JLP) won by a little over 100 votes
2) East Central St. James - which Edmond Bartlet won by over 100 votes.
The official count should be known tomorrow.
Will keep you updated re this.
