Yesterday, the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAAs) released that 49 athletes have been named to represent Jamaica at the London 2012 Olympics.
(The JAAAs is the governing body for athletics on island).
They have not released the names of these athletes, however, as a few more athletes have until July 8, to make the qualifying 'A' standard in their respective sporting disciplines, in order to represent their country.
Wikipedia has a preliminary list of those known to be representing Jamaica, based on these athletes' making the 'A' standard in their respective sporting disciplines.
This list is given, here.
======= Update Start ======
The final list of athletes and officials (aka "the Delegation to the Games of the XXX Olympiad"), was released by the Jamaica Olympic Association on July 9 and is available from their website, here.
======= Update End =======
[Many thanks to Lim CK for the use of her Flickr inset above entitled, "Agony", showing three(3) of the women who'll represent Jamaica in the 4 x 100m at the London 2012 Olympics.
From L-R: Sherone Simpson, Veronica Campbell-Brown (middle) and Kerron Stewart (facing).
I can tell you, that if these young women have their way, the "agony" of Beijing, will not be repeated at the London 2012 Olympics :)].
