Tropical Storm Isaac is currently hitting the island of Hispaniola and is located at latitude 17.2 degrees North, and longitude 71.9 degrees West and is moving in a north-westerly direction at 16 miles per hour (mph).
Isaac has maximum sustained winds of 65 mph. Tropical storm force winds extend 200 miles from its center.
Isaac will hit Haiti tonight and the island of Cuba tomorrow evening.
It is heading towards the Florida straits.
In relation to Jamaica: Tropical storm Isaac is South East of Jamaica.
The Southern and North Eastern parishes will get showers and thunderstorms.
Rainfall of 12 inches high is expected over the next 48 hours, resulting in landslides.
Threat of a Tropical Storm Isaac developing into a hurricane, is very likely as Isaac's eye or core struggles to take form.
