As per our mandate to help you to "think creatively and critically, so that you can make better life decisions"...
We, at Girl With a Purpose (GWAP) Blog, have some interesting news to share with you, re developments that are affecting and that will affect your world!
The BBC World Service is reporting that Russia and China are helping India to develop their local pharmaceuticals industry.
India is the 3rd largest pharmaceutical producer in the world:
They manufacture generic prescription drugs which are 1/15th the costs of brand name prescription drugs available from Western countries.
(Please see video above).
...especially drugs for the mentally ill and those suffering from malaria and other diseases.
Well the Chinese, renown for their successful use of traditional medicine to heal diseases, have successfully packaged these medicines and are taking this knowledge (aka transferring this knowledge), to India...
...where they will help India in its development of contraceptives.
Why are we even mentioning this?
Well, most readers of Girl With a Purpose (GWAP) Blog are under 34 years old.
Their world is changing and will change drastically over the next ten (10) years.
It is very possible that to keep up with technologies that are applicable globally, you may need to attend or intern at an Indian or Chinese university, or at a university in the Eastern part of our world.
The world is truly your oyster, but to take advantage of globally educational opportunities, you must do well in school: that is, have an "A" average!
That's why we stress scholarships so much on Girl With a Purpose (GWAP) Blog, for we know that when you do well and are eligible for scholarships...
... you can pick, choose and refuse colleges or universities to attend, that will give you the best educational opportunities, globally...
...Without worrying whether or not you, or your parents will be able to afford this education.
Please ensure that you read our posts under our College Money menu option on our home page (it's the middle item on our top menu), to find out how to prepare and qualify for global scholarships.
You may just be the next scientist, who, because of your education at an Indian or Chinese university or Eastern university, discovers the next super-drug for the next killer disease, at reduced costs - so that it's affordable for everyone.
Thereby enabling your world to become a much better place!
