There is a famous saying, "the Hand That Rocks the Cradle, Rules the World!"
This means that those who nurture children, have a huge responsibility, as they are the molders of our future world leaders.
Nurturers include parents, those in the extended family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) who look after children and maids/nannies/helpers/house assistants.
So it is very important that if you want a Godly heritage for your children, that you spend time teaching them lovingly, about God's love and His purpose for their lives.
(A Godly heritage means that children are brought up seeing their parents live lives that would make God proud and whose lives model that of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, as a result.)
It is also important that all people who will have a nurturing role in your child's life, understand the importance you place on having your children lead moral and God-focused lives.
Hence this should be a necessary criterion when screening caregivers.
They should know that you will not approve of practices in their home that will cause spiritual injury to your child.
You, yourself, should visit these peoples' homes, to see how they are, "at home", before sending your children to spend time with them.
Or you should have known them sufficiently from years of growing up with them or being in their company. :)
If this isn't possible, as is the case with nannies/maids/helpers/house assistants, then they should come with very strong references (at least three) where their character and child-rearing acumen can be attested to.
Doing this will aid greatly, in ensuring that your child's emotional and spiritual future is in good hands!
