Today is being celebrated, globally, as World Population Day!
...an annual event, observed on July 11, which seeks to raise awareness of global population issues.
The theme for this year is, "Universal Access to Reproductive Health Services".
Our world population is 7 billion persons and counting...
...As such, Girl With a Purpose (GWAP) Blog has a gentle reminder for you, our friends, in celebration of this special day, entitled:
Be Good to You, on World Population Day!
You are a child of the living God!
As such, your body is His temple.
Sex is seen by God as the joining of two (2) people for life...
Be careful with whom you join your body.
When you have found your life partner and he/she has committed to you in marriage - then have sex and do so wisely.
Contraceptives - know about them, know how they function and use them carefully...
They work in different ways...
Some:
1) Lower sperm count - new male contraceptive gel
2) Such as IntraUterine Devices - IUDs, prevent a fertilized egg from being lodged inside the uterus/womb
3) Change your hormonal function to prevent the production of an egg/sperm (e.g. the patch, the pill, the male pill)
4) Act as barriers for STIs and for sperm (the male condom and female condom).
Ensure that you have as many children as you can afford.
Lo! children are an heritage of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is His reward! (Psalm127 : 2; in context Psalm 127: 1-5) .
