How to Find Your Ideal Luxury Watch for the Holidays!

If you intend to buy your ideal luxury watch for the holidays, then you're in for a treat!

 

You can drastically cut down on your search time and costs, by going to a reputable, online luxury watch store, renown for giving great deals on luxury watches.

However, before buying your watch, there are six (6) things that you should do:

 

1) Go to thewatchery.com and check the best sellers for your gender first, to see which watches are really popular.

 

You  do this by clicking the "Best Sellers" tab located at the top-middle of the site and by going down to the gender field and selecting either "male" or "female".

 

2) When you've found a particular watch that you like, based on its style, price and specifications, you should also read the specifications (specs) to assess if the watch band is an appropriate length for your wrist.

 

(You can use this watch guide to determine you wrist diameter and your ideal watch band length)

 

3) Read the reviews  for the watch you're interested in by simply clicking on the star (rating) next to the picture of the watch.

 

E.g.  Let's say I'm interested in buying a Skagen Women's White Swarovski Crystal Brown Mother Of Pearl Dial Mesh Brown IP SS watch, based on its style, price ($50) and specs,  I'd read the reviews for  the watch on thewatchery.com.

 

I do this by clicking on the star rating to the top-right of the watch  (shown by the top red arrow in the picture to the right), to get a quick assessment of what other buyers are saying, and based on this information, to ascertain if it's a great buy.

 

4) To get a more balanced set of reviews, however, go to  Amazon.com (the world's largest online retailer) and check out the review for your watch by typing in your watch brand name  and model number into their search window,  or to make like easier, just use our shortcut to the Amazon Search Window, to do this.

 

So, since I'm interested in buying the  "Skagen Women's White Swarovski Crystal Brown Mother Of Pearl Dial Mesh Brown IP SS" watch, I type in the brand name of the watch (Skagen) followed by the model (380SMM),[Skagen 380SMM)], obtained from the watch's detail page on thewatchery.com, into the appropriate Amazon Search Window. (This is shown by the arrows in the above picture).

 

5) When the results are displayed, check the price of your watch on Amazon.com to ensure that you're getting the best deal.

 

I've found the Skagen Women's White Swarovski Crystal Brown Mother Of Pearl Dial Mesh Brown IP SS watch on Amazon.com,  but I want to check the price,  so I do this by doing a quick check of the price tag next to the picture of the watch (this is shown by the second arrow on the above picture).

 

So I see that the  price of the Skagen watch at TheWatchery.com is $50, vs Amazon's price tag  of $54.95...so I decide that I'm getting a better price deal TheWatchery.com

 

6) After reading the reviews of your chosen watch on both TheWatchery.com and on Amazon.com, decide which site gives the better deal, overall.

 

So I see raving reviews for the "Skagen Women's White Swarovski Crystal Brown Mother Of Pearl Dial Mesh Brown IP SS" watch on both TheWatchery.com (4.6/5 stars) and Amazon.com (5/5 stars), so I've decided to get this watch from TheWatchery.com- based on the price.

 

So, this is how you go about buying your ideal watch in minutes, versus hours searching online.

 

Let's review the process:

1) Look for a reputable, online, luxury watch discount store like TheWatchery.com

 

2) See if they're having great holiday/Black Friday specials

 

3) Look for and click the "best sellers" tab or section to see which watches are popular

 

4a) Check the price, specs and read the reviews on the site, for the watch that you're interested in

 

4b) Compare these with price and reviews on Amazon.com to see if you should buy it there

 

5) Buy your ideal watch on whichever site is best. (However, in most cases, TheWatchery.com, will have the better price).

How to Choose Perfume That's Right for You (Part 1)

The following is the first of a 2-part post. The second part will follow later this week.

 

Let's begin!

 

From the days of Egyptian Queen Cleopatra  to today, women and men have been using scents to distinguish themselves from their peers, to attract that special someone, or to simply help them smell great, even under wet and sticky conditions.

 

Buying perfume that's right for you need not be as complicated and time consuming as it used to be, however, as online stores have made perfume-buying, super-easy!

 

(Definition: Perfume that's right for you, leaves you feeling refreshed, smelling great - even if you are engaging in strenuous activities and make you a joy to be around.

 

People will compliment you on your new scent and often ask what you're wearing, as they want to buy it too).

 

Before the advent of ecommerce and online stores, perfume-buying involved your:

 

1) Physically going to a store and choosing a perfume based on how popular it was, how often it was being recommended by loved ones or friends, how frequently it was being advertised and whether or not if fit your budget

 

2) Depending solely on the advice of store attendants re which scents would suit you, based on your purpose for buying the scents and your daily routine when wearing same.

 

Oftentimes these methods would have disappointing results, as the scent of the perfume you liked either degraded after a few hours, or didn't smell the same way it did on you as it did onsomeone else.

 

The reality is that:

1) Perfume smells differently on each person, so you have to "wear" it for a few hours to determine how it will smell on you ...we discuss "wearing perfume" in point 6. below

 

2) Wearing perfume is an art, with just a little needing to be applied, to create subtility in effect...meaning, it shouldn't be so strong that it's evident when you enter a room.

 

3) Scents can last for a few hours to a full eight (8) hours depending on their constituency and categories:

 

Perfume is made up of alcohol, essential oils (scents that give perfume their smell) and a fixative - to lock the scent in place.

 

So, perfumes with a greater percentage of essential oils will more than likely have a stronger smell and/or last longer (for 4 hours or more) than those with a smaller percentage of these oils.

 

E.g. Most perfumes  have at most 30% essential oils and so will last for four (4) hours or more, depending on the reputation of their manufacturer/perfumer or brand.

 

Colognes have at most 3% essential oils and so will last up to four (4) hours, whilst eau de parfums are lighter scents, that last only a couple of hours.

 

The best way to choose perfume that's right for you, therefore, is to :

1. Go to an online store dedicated to perfumes (e.g.  Perfume.com and Shop Perfume Emporium and save up to 70% off on over 7,000 designer fragrances.)

   There you'll get high-end perfume brands (e.g. Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Dior, Kim Kardashian), for much less than you would, had you visited a boutique store




2. Choose a scent based on its "newness",  popularity, recommendations, and reason for purchase (e.g. work, play, elegant evening out or trying to attract someone you're interested in) or the particular scent you want to radiate




3. Read  reviews and ratings that customers have left on the above sites re perfumes that you're interested in




4. Narrow-down your choice based on customer reviews on at least two sites to ensure you're getting consistency in reviews)




5. Use a website like Perfumes for a Buck to have samples of your preferred perfumes sent to you for free, or at a minimal cost.

6. Upon receipt,  wear the perfume for a day: put a dab of one perfume sample on the inside write of one hand and  a dab of another sample on the inside of your other wrist; wear them - walk around with them for a day - whilst doing normal activities, repeat this for every two perfume samples obtained




7. See which ones last the entire day or suit your purchasing purpose



8. Repeat steps 6 to 7, until all your samples are finished



9. Choose the  right perfume for you based on smell - i.e. how it smelled on you, how it made you feel and how long it lasted 




10. Order your perfume through one of the online stores described in step 1 above (e.g.  Perfume.com and ).

 

Doing the above should ensure that you get a scent that not only smells great on you, but one that enables you to subtly stand out, when you near someone in a crowded room.
